Česká pojišťovna revamped its insurance of multi-family buildings. Besides the automatic insurance of building fixtures on the same land and the reimbursement of water and sewage bills in case of a burst water mains, insured entities and residents can now also draw on useful assistance services.

In its regular assessment, the international credit rating agency Standard & Poor’s (S&P) reaffirmed Česká pojišťovna’s A- rating, providing further proof of the Company’s strength and stability.

Česká pojišťovna launched Můj život, a step forward in life insurance responding to the latest trends in Czech society and health, offering an exceptional solution to insurance coverage and flexibility on the domestic market. Besides covering new insurance risks previously neglected by the market, the new product introduced the option of configuring an automatic reduction in the sum insured and even of removing coverage of certain risks over the duration of the policy. Another new development is the system of “two-speed diagnosis”. A broad range of assistance services is made available as a matter of course.

Česká pojišťovna unveiled “Jak jsem pojištěn” (My Insurance), a fun new online application on its website intended to raise public awareness and shed light on the opportunities of covering risks to which every one of us may be exposed in our lives.

In Best Insurance Company of the Year 2014, a competition organised by the prominent daily newspaper Hospodářské noviny, Česká pojišťovna picked up the prize for Best Non-life Insurance Company of the Year 2014. It was also recognised as the Most Customer Friendly Non-life Insurance Company for another successive year.
The 100th Gentleman of the Road was named as part of the 10th-anniversary celebrations of the project of the same name.

Česká pojišťovna remodelled its equine insurance, making it possible to extend the gap between veterinary check-ups to two years for clients who renew their policy. Coverage of vet bills was expanded to include the new insurance of costs resulting from in-stable veterinary care.
The Gentleman of the Decade accolade was awarded in a public poll to mark the 10th anniversary of the Gentleman of the Road project.

A campaign was kickstarted in response to changes in the Income Tax Act that was geared towards offering clients a solution enabling them to continue to enjoy the tax concessions applicable to private life insurance.

In 2014, ČP INVEST started marketing the new life-cycle products Trend 3, Trend 5 and Trend 8, which attracted overall investments over CZK 100 million from customers over a six-month period.

January
The final stage in the acquisition of the minority stake in Generali PPF Holding was completed. This saw Generali become the sole holding owner in the wake of a decision by the PPF Group to sell off its remaining interest.
February
The 102nd Gentleman of the Road title was awarded in Šumperk to Jaromír Burďák, whose quick thinking and bravery saved the life of the driver who had crashed into him and was left unconscious as flames engulfed his car. Česká pojišťovna and the Police of the Czech Republic have jointly presented Gentleman of the Road awards for 11 years.
